Live Event 20/11

Come join the Anagram team behind Goliath for an evening IRL and on Twitch that explores the world of gaming, and our beautifully strange online lives at the twilight zones of reality.
We will be co-curating the evening with the IDFA DocLab for the brilliant International Documentary Festival of Amsterdam.
As part of the evening Jon, the man behind Goliath, will join us from his stream for a live playthrough of the experience with his own behind-the-scenes commentary.
Leon Denise, one of the artists that worked on Goliath, will share his shader magic; using code and comments from the chat, a generative imagery from the evening will be co-created.
We will meet a number of incredible artists whose work play with games in different ways: the Austrian designer Georg Hobmeier and artist “Wolfswift” behind the indiegame Gates of Aleppo; artist Mengtai Zhang presenting Diagnosia; a VR documentary that takes us inside Chinese internment camps where young people are treated for “internet addiction”; and artist Alexandra Barancová with studio Moniker demonstrating and discussing Disarmed, an experimental interactive game where your body is the game world — a piece that asks us to reimagine our bodies inside a virtual world and consider what kinds of data we give away when we play.
Come for the giveaways, stay for the deep times.
Live at 8.30 CET on November 20th 2021 (Saturday)
Either head to our Twitch link which will be live on the night, or come back to this page.
Be sure to follow our Instagram and Discord channels for updates. (Or if you are in Amsterdam book a ticket to come in person.)
